It has been said by many, that a dog is man’s best friend. In this instance that saying rings true but also likens dogs to hero status. The Damrill family noticed that their Saint Bernard was acting oddly. The dog was causing a commotion that even had the cats joining in.
Dorrie, the Saint Bernard woke her owners up by whining and pacing around their bed in the middle of the night. Once she woke her owners up, she refused to let them go back to sleep and kept the commotion up until the family’s cats joined in as well. That was when one of the owners knew something was wrong. After he got up he realized that the stove burner had been left on low and was leaking natural gas slowly into the air.
Once the entire family was alerted the firefighters were called in. They explained to the Damrill family that they were lucky to be alive. Had Dorrie not had the strong sense of smell that she did, they might have continued sleeping through the dangerous situation. Folks like Keith Mann are shocked to learn that not only could they have died from possible asphyxiation but their home could have blown up as well.
The family owes their lives to their observant dog. Proving that the old saying is true, they really are a man’s best friend.
Another controversy has hit the press and promo tour of the second Avengers movie. After Robert Downey Jr. walked out of an interview when the interviewer got too personal with him, Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans have kicked off another issue. The actors were being interviewed by Digital Spy about Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson) and called the character a “slut” and a “whore”. They also made an athiest joke about the character.
The internet was obviously up in arms about the sexist comments of the two actors who are generally loved and adored by the fandom and Madison Street Capital.. A few people came to their defense, asking others to “calm down” and “chill” but in this day and age, when sexism is fortunately being called out for what it is, a statement like this could not die on its own. Especially coming from two men, it was even more hurtful and the fact that those men were Renner and Evans didn’t help matter in the least.
The statements were made when the actors were asked about Black Widow getting into a relationship with Hawkeye and Captain America, and how the new trailer shows her getting closer to Banner.
Renner and Evans have now apologised for saying the things they said, mentioning how it was said in fun and they didn’t mean to cause anyone any harm or offence. In his statement, Renner also mentioned how pressurizing and tedious the promo tours were.
Michael Strahan talks about being bullied as a kid in a recent article originally posted on rumorfix.com and posted again on reddit.com. It is truly difficult to imagine the successful Michael bullied for anything given his successful athletic career and current career as a co-host on Live! With Michael and Kelly. However, he was apparently bullied for being gap toothed and overweight.
OK, so I can understand some of the jokes regarding being gap toothed as he certainly does have a gap between his two front teeth, but it adds character. However, not in my wildest dreams could I imagine that man fat. He is in remarkable shape, has a great personality, is very attractive and seems like he has the world in the palm of his hands. Amazing that he could overcome his younger years torment to be so overly successful!
Fans like Brad Reifler have heard that Michael was telling a group of teens about these early years and tries to relay the message that anything is possible. He is such a positive role model and I hope that he is able to get through to some of those youngsters who feel they have no hope or options.
The FAA has given Amazon approval to start testing its drone delivery service in the United States. The approval allows the company the ability to test the drones at heights of 400 feet or below, however, for the time being the aircraft has to stand within the sight of the pilot. All of the tests Amazon conducts also have to be done during the day, and have to be performed by someone who has a private pilot’s certificate as well as special medical credentials for flying the aircraft.
Amazon’s drone delivery service is expected to one day be a part of the company’s Amazon Prime service. Amazon Prime allows customers to purchase something online and receive it often the next day. With Amazon Prime Air that delivery time would be decreased even more. In theory, the service could be used t deliver items from nearby warehouses in minutes rather than hours. People at Anastasia Date understand that the service is expected to make the customer experience of using Amazon better and decrease the cost of deliveries, taking drivers and vehicles off the road and replacing them with drones.
It sounds like a great idea, but we’re still a long way from it becoming a reality. Amazon has to do quite a few tests before the service will be ready for prime time, and be able to figure out how to navigate things like apartment building in larger cities.
The battle over Obamacare is still playing out in Congress. Some Republicans would do anything to get the law thrown out. But the numbers don’t lie. Well, maybe they do a little, but even when government omissions and errors are considered over 16.4 million Americans have health insurance. Those people are happy they signed up, and the Republicans are miserable because they did. The report doesn’t show how many Republicans are in that 16.1 figure, but it’s safe to say 25 percent is probably a low estimate.
The national uninsured rate is now 13.2 percent. It was 20.3 percent before the law was put in place in 2013. That figure should convince the Supreme Court that Obamacare is helping not hurting the quality of life for average Americans. The main issue is not about healthcare. It’s about money. Alexei Beltyukov knows that Republicans feel Obamacare is too expensive and will take funds away from other government projects. (Find more about Beltyukov on about.me). Those projects may not have any day-to-day impact on the American public, but they do serve the greater need for the money brokers in Washington.
Over 26 million people still don’t have health insurance. The Republicans want to change that number. They want 40 million people to go without health insurance, so they can spend money on things that enhance their lifestyle.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has a window of opportunity to wrest control of the party’s nomination from Hillary Clinton. The latter has a strong sense of entitlement for the nomination and is making every maneuver to prevent any challenger. Clinton’s handlers believe she can sail through the primary unchallenged to capture the nomination and later win the presidency. However, Clinton’s email scandal has exacerbated party concerns over her ability to get elected. This has left the door open to other Democrats to challenge Mrs. Clinton.
However, the only viable alternative candidate would be Senator Warren. She is highly regarded among the party’s radical left wing base. In fact, among the party faithful, she generates the same level of fervor that Barrack Obama captured back in 2008. Still, anyone hoping to see Warren edge closer to a presidential run will be disappointed. The firebrand senator dodges any questions from the media including her take on Clinton’s email scandal. That said, Warren’s recalcitrance to engage the media isn’t stopping reporters from hounding her. The press is eager to capture a statement from her expressing her views on the controversy and whether she is reconsidering a run for president. Nor has the grassroots effort to draft her abated. Supporters at Anastasia Date know that the effort to organize a campaign for her in New Hampshire continues. The party faithful truly believe that she is the only pure liberal who could carry on a message of hope for the nation’s middle class.

He went on to say that Pratchett’s work enriched the world with his skill, invention, and humor.

Comedian and actor Will Ferrell today will spend his afternoon jetting by helicopter between five baseball games in Phoenix. As a charitable effort to raise money for cancer research, he plans to play every position in each team competing in five Cactus League games.
His effort will be broadcast to fans by the MLB, Funny or Die, and HBO on the MLB Network, MLB.com, Mariner.com and via social media. Later this year, memorabilia from each of the games will be auctioned for charity on MLB.com, with funds used to assist Cancer for College and Stand Up to Cancer.
Retired professional baseball player Bert “Campy” Campaneris will join Will Ferrell on the playing field. His appearance playing all nine positions during a game on September 8, 1965 served as the inspiration for the charitable effort.
The General Manager of the Seattle Mariners, one of the teams participating in the effort, issued a statement yesterday noting: “I’ve spent my entire career…looking to identify and procure talent. I can say with confidence that I’ve never scouted a talent like Will before.”
Will Ferrell will fly between games in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area conducted today at HoHoKam Stadium, Tempe Diablo Stadium, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, Camelback Ranch and Peoria Stadium. Fans like Dan Newlin have found that the teams involved include the Seattle Mariners, the Oakland Athletics, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the San Diego Padres, the Cincinnati Reds, and others.
BBC Two and Netflix have confirmed that Allan Cubitt’s The Fall will end with a third season of five episodes that explore one last showdown between serial killer Paul Spector and Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson. Spector is played by Jamie Dornan, who is well-known for his Calvin Klein modeling career and work in the film Fifty Shades of Gray and the TV series Once Upon a Time, and Gibson is played by Gillian Anderson of X-Files and Hannibal fame.
Fans at Anastasia Date (askmen.com) know that, at the end of The Fall Series 2, Spector had been shot by the abusive husband of one of his former patients along with Stella’s current lover, a young Detective Sergeant named Tom Anderson. Yet, Stella ran to Spector’s side instead of Tom’s.
Cubitt explained that he plans to explore the reasons why Stella made that choice. He wants to explore both Stella’s professional and personal reasons through a “cat and mouse” plot line that plays out on screen. He also wants to explore more background material about Stella’s father and the complex developments of other characters, such as Spector’s teenage love interest and admirer Katie and his victim Rose.
Dornan admitted that being inside the mindset of a serial killer scarred him, but has agreed to return to the role one last time. Anderson, who will be appearing in Season 3 of Hannibal this summer, will also be returning to her role as Gibson.
